The power of light at the D-Day, the key event for the inauguration of the new breakwater in the port of Genoa.

A work that falls under the PNRR, designed to allow the Port of Genoa to safely accommodate larger ships, without limiting access and maneuvers towards berths, and adapting to the needs of the major shipping companies.

May 4, 2023 was the day dedicated to the laying of the foundation stone of the New Breakwater of Genoa: an indelible day for the city and its inhabitants, who participated in the events organized to celebrate the start of work on a work intended to change the face of Genoa and its port.

The day was opened by the institutional meeting, hosted in the Sala delle Compere of Palazzo San Giorgio, with a live connection for the release operations into the sea of ​​the first consolidation pouring of the seabed on which the new dam will be built.

After the institutional interventions, the event schedule was enriched with a light show projected from the current dam and synchronized with the classical music performance by the Carlo Felice orchestra of Genoa, to accompany the passage of a platform into the Port of Genoa illuminated with aerostatic balloons, event symbol.

A large scenic and luminous project: lighting design by Dhs Event Solution, with 120 lighting fixtures managed by two lighting consoles positioned on the dam and 400 linear meters of lighting technology.
