100 Years GE Vernova, Milan

GE Vernova bushing factory known as “Passoni & Villa” celebrated 100 years of innovation! For over a century, the factory has been recognized for its excellence, quality and its team’s expertise in high voltage equipment.

Locally produced bushings support AC and DC transformer, substation and generator applications around the world, having equipped DC projects such as the Italy-Montenegro link, the DolWin 3 project in Northern Europe and the Lower Churchill project in Canada.

The celebration took place in the presence of Roberto Di Stefano, mayor of Sesto San Giovanni and Catherine Renard, Business Region Leader of GE vernova Power Transmission, just to name a few.

More than 200 customers, suppliers and stakeholders, as well as site employees, had the opportunity to tour the facility and meet Grid Solutions experts.

These historic achievements are two notable examples of continuity in operations based on dynamic engineering and manufacturing expertise, supporting our customers in the energy transition.
